ANA AND KITTENS GRP – #K15-034469
Safe 10-8-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
***SAFE 10/08/15*** ANA and her 5 week old babies, BOBBI – DARI and CALI were brought into the ACC as STRAYS! ANA is only 2 years old herself, and as any good mother, she was protective of her babies and that along with her fear has made their stay at the ACC, less than fun! Plus the ACC has only listed ANA – BOBBI – CALI tonight, with no word on what happened to poor wee Dari. This family is RESCUE ONLY; the kittens because of their age/weight and ANA because she is EXTREMELY fearful and will not allow petting. They need a FOSTER and NEW HOPE RESCUE so if you have a LITTLE space in your home and a big space in your heart, please work with a New Hope rescue group to save their lives tonight! Any questions about how to do that? Please send an email to the Urgent PODR help desk at [email protected]. Save this family, tonight!

10/05/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Ana was grooming herself upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ana ignores the assessor and continues to groom. Reaction to cage door opening: Ana becomes stiff and alert and hisses. Reaction to touch: Ana hisses and does not allow touch; she continues to retreat from the assessor’s hand and attempts to flee. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Ana is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
