Reaction to door opening: Amherst remains lying down in a relaxed position on her cage bedding, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Amherst accepts the stroke, rolls over in place and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: She jumped back into her cage. Placement determination: Average Amherst interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
