Eleven-year-old white and brown tabby senior girl AMALIE has a heartbreaking back story: “Amalie was born in her home. Her owner surrendered her because he’s ill and has too many pets. He describes Amalie as very sweet, friendly, and affectionate with him and with new people. She sleeps in his bed every night. She lived with 7 other cats (some are her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren) and got along very well with all of them. She always used her litterbox.” But this sweet old “GOLDEN OLDIE” seems to have kidney issues, although she has a “VERY GOOD APPETITE” – Amalie wants to LIVE! But the ACC has WRITTEN HER OFF as NOT WORTH SAVING. We know differently! Surely there is a loving cat parent who has worked with special needs kitties who can save Amalie. Please start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt adorable senior girl AMALIE! If you can’t save AMALIE yourself, please SHARE her sad story and PLEDGE for her rescue!

05/26/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
05/26/15 19:05 Amalie was born in her home. She always used her litterbox. She ate Meow Mix food and used Fresh Step litter. Amalie is geriatric. She appears thin and has ocular discharge. She ate wet and dry food when we gave it to her. Amalie had a soft body in her owner’s arms and in her carrier. She was tense and crouched on the counter when I pet, scanned (negative), collared, and photographed her. She went in and out of her carrier on her own with little encouragement. She was easy to handle and didn’t resist, retreat, or vocalize.
