Notes: Alder was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. He seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment . Alder is extremely fearful and is currently tolerating limited petting or handling. Reaction to assessor: was hiding when I approach cage (3) When spoken quietly: continues to hide (3) Reaction to door cage opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: very fearful , remains motionless(4) Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, very afraid. Placement Determination: Experience no child
