ALBERT – A1032050
4-17-2015 Manhattan Rescue: ***SAFE*** Pulled by Staten Island Hope- Donation website: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/ Please honor your pledges:
The person who found Albert as a stray cat, the person who figured he was “somebody’s pet” but brought him to the kill shelter; does that person wonder what happened to gorgeous Albert? Does his former owner wonder what happened to this great guy, who is so frightened to be away from home that he earned a New Hope rating? Albert needs a nice, loving home that will allow him to decompress, but he only gets what he needs if a New Hope rescue pulls him to safety, tonight. Without that intervention, Albert might be the first cat in the euth room, tomorrow…..

04/09/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Albert looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Albert remains hiding in his cat den, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Albert voids contact, hisses and strikes at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Albert is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
