07/18/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/18/15 18:41 BASIC INFO AJ had been seen living outside for a while. Her finders picked her up and brought her home 2-3 weeks ago. They cannot keep her because she doesn’t get along well with their dog. SOCIALIZATION AJ is friendly/outgoing with strangers. She lived with a 2 year old child and was relaxed, affectionate, and very tolerant of her. She plays gently with people. She was relaxed around other stray cats outside. She’s fearful of the dog in the home so they were mostly kept separate. The few times they encountered each other, she hissed and fled. She hasn’t bit or scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR AJ is relaxed in the car. She enjoys being held. She doesn’t mind being put in a carrier or woken up. She’s nervous during baths. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW AJ’s finders describe her as friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow, confident, talkative, medium energy, and beautiful. She follows her finders and sits in their laps. She likes to play with balls and string. AJ lived inside and slept on a bath mat. She ate dry and wet Friskies food. She ate raw beef and stole a pork chop that were left out. She didn’t use a horizontal carpet scratching post. She scratched a spot on the wall in the bathroom. AJ usually used her uncovered and hooded litterboxes with clumping litter. On one or two occasions, she urinated small amounts on the window sills in the home. Her finders saw male cats outside of the window when this occurred. INTAKE AJ had a soft, relaxed body while we pet, scanned (-), collared, picked up, positioned for pictures, and put her in a kennel. She was easy to handle and didn’t resist/retreat/vocalize.
