05/01/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: AirHeart was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. She seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment Airheart was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to flee and is extremely fearful. She currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to door cage opening: becomes stiff, alert (3) Reaction to touch: growls, hisses, does not allows petting at all (5) Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick the cat up, fractious behavior Placement Determination: NewHope
