AIDAN – A1035075
5-9-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: ***SAFE*** Pulled by Staten Island Hope- Donation website: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/ Please honor your pledges:
***SAFE 05/09/15*** AIDAN IS AN ADORABLE KITTEN WHO HAS SOME AMBULATORY ISSUES BUT THE ACC WILL NOT GIVE HIM A CHANCE TO GET THE MEDICAL CARE HE NEEDS – HE DIES TOMORROW WITHOUT RESCUE! AIDAN is only 8 months old. He was brought in with 2 other kittens because his owner had “too many”. AIDAN has some problems moving around and after xrays they still cannot determine the cause. AIDAN will need a full vet exam to determine if he has mild arthiritis, hip dysplasia or something else which the ACC vet mentioned. Those issues are rare in kittens so rather than speculate, whoever saves AIDAN will need to get him thoroughly checked out. AIDAN is a friendly boy and is hoping his rescue angel comes tonight. And don’t forget his housemates Annabelle and Asher who are still in the shelter but not listed. CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL AIDAN TO SAFETY – FOSTERING WILL SAVE HIS LIFE AND GET HIM THE VETTING HE NEEDS.

05/02/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
05/02/15 18:23 Asher, Aidan, and Annabelle came from a home with 11 cats because their owner had too many pets. Asher and Aidan descended from one litter of kittens that bred. Asher’s tongue hangs from his mouth. Aidan’s back appears long and he walks hunched over. Their owner reports that they’re all friendly with strangers, children, and other cats and haven’t bit/scratched anyone. Asher uses the litterbox but also urinates on plastic bags on the floor. Aidan cannot climb into the box easily and sometimes potties outside of the bathroom. Annabelle always uses the litterbox. Asher, Aidan, and Annabelle had soft bodies while I pet, scanned (negative), collared, photographed, and transferred them to their kennels/carriers. They were very easy to handle and didn’t resist/retreat/vocalize. Asher and Aidan were a little tense in their kennels while they looked around. Annabelle appeared relaxed and rubbed her chin on her litterbox.

05/06/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Aidan came to us as an owner surrender on 5/6/15. The previous owner reported that Aidan is friendly with strangers, children, and other cats. When approaching the cage the assessor can see Aidan with neutral body language lying in his cat litter. He allowed the assessor to pet him softly on his body, but did have slightly tense body language with flattened ears and dilated pupils. The behavior department believes that Aidan can go to an experienced home. Reaction to assessor: Does not come to the front but remains neutral (2) When spoken to quietly: Does not come to the front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to cage door opening: Remains motionless, does not respond (2) Reaction to touch: Eyes become dilated, ears flat, excepts touch but has slightly tense body language (3)
