04/27/15 19:47 Dapaoa is an adult gray and white cat that was surrendered with 3 other cats today (litter number K15-011590) by her owner. Due to a language barrier no full profile was able to be obtained, but it was established that she is an inside cat that always usues the litter box. The cat will purr and nuzzle her owners legs. At intake, she remained quiet and sitting on her paws in her carrier. She allowed th counselor to pet her nose and transfer her from a box carrier to a plastic carrier with ease. The counselor was also able to scan for a chip ( negative.) The cat was not collared at intake because she back up in the carrier when the counselor came near with the collar. The counselor wanted to avoid stress.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Dapaoa was bought into the care center by her previous owner because of a recent lost in the family. We don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. Dapaoa is displaying behavior appropriate for a new cat owner. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed and friendly (1) When spoken quietly: comes to the front of cage, soliciting, rubbing against front (1) Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed (1) Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention (1) Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling Placement Determination: Average
