ZIPPY – A1055678
Safe 10-28-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
**SAFE 10/28/15** CAMRO and ZIPPY are beautiful young baby girls who were trapped, then brought into the ACC. The shelter thinks they are “feral” but they have managed to cope with their fear well enough to earn EXPNOCHILD ratings, so it’s possible that they do have some prior experience with humans. After all, the shelter is a terrifying place for animals, and how often have perfectly nice house pets reacted like wild things, once they were left at the ACC? No matter what their backstories are, CAMRO and ZIPPY need someone to step up and save them tonight! Please don’t let them be killed tomorrow afternoon, while the rest of NYC is eating lunch. Find a FOSTER or ADOPTER for CAMRO and ZIPPY tonight!

10/26/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Zippy was found as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She may try to flee from handling, and is very cautious around people. Reaction to assessor: Zippy was inside a hidey box upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Zippy looks at the assessor through a peep hole. Reaction to cage door opening: Zippy remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Zippy was hesitant of touch, but remains in place and allows petting on her head and back. She starts to stress meow, but doesn’t display any further reaction. Reaction to pick up: Zippy becomes tense, but allows handling. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Zippy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
