WHISKEY – A1048089
**SAFE 08/25/15** WHISKEY and FRAPPE are two of a group of cats who were brought into the shelter as strays on August 16th. These guys are both young, guesstimated to be about 2 years old, and they are also very handsome! Their intake notes are basically identical and so is what they need: each cat needs someone to step up to foster or adopt him! These guys earned EXPNOCHILD ratings on account of their fear, but they should settle in nicely once they are safe in a new home. Please make sure WHISKEY and FRAPPE get what they need by advocating vigorously for them, tonight!

08/18/15 15:00 Behavior during intake: Whiskey would back away from me when I opened the carrier door but when I extended my hand he sniffed. After I gave him food he relaxed. While out of the carrier he head-butted and and alowed me to pet him. He showed no signs of aggression.

08/19/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Whiskey looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Whiskey remains crouched down in his litter box with box, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Whiskey accepts the stroke. However, during the touch ears go down to his side, eyes wander and tightly curls up in place. Placement determination: Experience / no child Whiskey tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
