Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Twin behavior was monitored by the enichment faciliator prior to his evaluation. They noticed Twin is showing signs of being nervous and tense in the care center. Twin was bought into the care center due to his previous owner having too many pets. Reaction to assessor: Twin does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Twin does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Twin flattens his ears and begins to growl Reaction to touch: Twins continues to growl and starts to back up Try picking cat up: Did not attempt due to Twin’s behavior Behavior Determination: NewHope Twin seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. Twin may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
