TORI – A1061155
Gone 12-29-2015 Brooklyn
** GONE 12/29/15 ** TORI and BETTY are two scared and pretty girls who entered the ACC with a host of other cats. Both cats carry an EXPNOCHILD rating, and both cats are nervous and miserable at the shelter. TORI is older than BETTY, and also could use a trip to the vet. Both girls are the sort of cat who should blossom once they get into a loving new home. Please make sure they get their chances by FOSTER or ADOPTING them, tonight!

12/28/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Tori was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She sat towards the front of the carrier with her paws tucked upon intake, but retreated when the door opened. Her eyes dilate and her breathing became very rapid. She was very nervous and tense during her initial medical exam, and will attempt to flee. The enrichment facilitator was able to pet her, but has reported tense and fearful behavior. Reaction to Assessor: Tori does not come to the front, but remains neutral in her cage. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tori looks at the assessor and looks around her surroundings. Reaction to cage door opening: Tori lowers her head and tries to hide behind her litter box. Reaction to touch: Tori becomes stiff and alert when the assessor’s hand was extended. She lowers her head and allows all petting, but remains immobile. She blinks and lip licks during the interaction. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Tori tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
