TIGAR – A1060265
Gone 12-16-2015 Brooklyn
**GONE 12/16/15** TIGAR and OLIVER are two handsome boys who need a FOSTER or ADOPTER to save them from lethal injections tomorrow. TIGAR is already NEUTERED and has some eye issues; OLIVER is guesstimated to be a 12-month-old KITTEN. Both cats have been receiving wormer in their food, which begs the question: how much does the ACC spend a year on wormer alone, for cats they’re just going to KILL a couple of days later? Why not take that money and do something positive with it, like more community outreach or add in more staff, anything that will increase the chances of cats like TIGER and OLIVER actually finding homes? It boggles the mind, but there it is—the ACC have slated these good boys for death tomorrow, so their URGENTPODR family must find FOSTER or ADOPTIVE heroes for them both, tonight!

12/14/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Tigar was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He attempted to flee upon intake and became defensive during his initial medical exam; growling and hissing. Reaction to Assessor: Tigar was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tigar looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes and blinks slowly. Reaction to cage door opening: Tigar remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Tigar sniffs the assessor’s hand and was very hesitant, but he allows all petting. He blinks and lip licks throughout the interaction, but he does not display any further reaction. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Tigar tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
