12/09/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
12/09/15 14:43 HRS Thessaly and Maras have lived alongside each other for the past week with their caregiver. They both shared a home with adults and a 10 year old child. Thessaly was described as confident and independent. He would approach his caregivers when he wanted attention, allowing them to pet him on his head and chin. He appeared to get along well with Maras. The caregiver described him as the dominant cat, because Maras would follow him everywhere. While in the home Thessaly would explore the house. He was accustomed to grooming himself. He allows petting but not being held. Thessaly’s caregiver stated that he would even jump onto the caregiver’s lap and bed to seek attention however he would sometimes swipe at the hand of the person petting him. The caregiver stated that he is litterbox trained and would use the hooded litterbox for the first two days. After that time, he began going outside of his litter box. During intake, Thessaly was meowing and scratching at his carrier door. When he was allowed out of the carrier, he began to slowly walk out. He would become frightened, lower his head and try to retreat into his carrier, when was approached. After allowing him to sniff the Admissions Counselor hand, he would allow the Admissions Counselor to pet him on his head.
