06/26/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
06/26/15 11:11 Basic information Alvin A1041567and Theodore A1041565 are being surrendered because the owner is going away to college and has no one that can watch them. They were given to her as a gift from her father. I asked him if he would like to take them but he said that he lives in florida and cannot care for them. Socialization Around strangers, Both cats are shy but will warm up after a few minutes. They are both from the same litter. They have spent all their time together. They play well with eachother. They have not been around other cats or dogs. They both like children and play well with them. They play with adults as well. They have not bitten anyone or any other animal. Behavior. According to the owner, Both cats have no litter box issues. They both have scratching posts. They are well behaved inside of the home. They both like baths and are not bothered by nail trimmings. They both like being held and do not struggle when being put into a carrier. For a new family to know The owner describes them as friendly, affectionate, independent, confident and playful. They both a have high hactivity levels but the owner says that Alvin is more active thanTheodore. Alvin runs around the house and likes to be chased. Theodore plays as well but is more calm and relaxed. They both seek attention and follow the owner around the home. They like to play with their toys like balls, stuffed toys, string, cand bottle caps. They have been mostly kept indoors and ahve their own beds but they love to sleep with the owner on her bed. They were being fed friskies dry food in the day and friskies wet food at night. They used a open litterbox and used clumping litter. Behavior during intake During intake, both cats were fearful and retreated to the back of the carrier. Since both cats are a bit heavy, I asked for assistance from the owner to get them out of the carrier. They did not vocalize or resist. They are both very sweet but shy. They allowed to be carried into a kennel and allowed handling.
