TEX MEX – A1051512
Urgent 9-19-2015 Manhattan
**GONE 09/19/15** SECOND CHANCE for a BEAUTIFUL GIRL! TEX MEX is a glossy hug machine with luminous eyes, and this young lady needs a hero tonight! Brought into the ACC as a stray on September 14th, the shelter has done nothing to find her a home, and everything to make sure she caught their prevalent cold. The way a competent vet would address that cold is with antibiotics, but the ACC only treats those sniffles with a lethal injection. TEX MEX is too nice of a girl to lose to a broken shelter system. Please advocate relentlessly for TEX MEX, tonight!
My name is TEX MEX. My Animal ID # is A1051512. – P
I am a female black and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 2 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 09/14/2015 from NY 10457, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

09/17/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Tex looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Tex remains crouched down at the back of the cage, alert with a hard stare. Reaction to touch: Tex stiffens up in place while eyes began to wander and shows no interest on the touch. Placement determination: Experience / no child Tex Mex tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
