08/21/15 15:51 Sweetpea is neutered orange tabby with no known medical conditions. Sweetpea was found wandering loose and was being fed by neighborhood. Behavior during intake Sweetpea was mostly quiet during intake and would softly meow at times. Sweetpea was relaxed in cat trap and allowed counselor to pet and scan him with a loose body. Sweetpea enjoyed being pet and would head-butt counselors hand seeking more attention. When counselor tried to collar him he would back away and start to meow.

Notes: Sweet Pea was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Sweet Pea is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: resting at the front of the kennel When spoken quietly: resting at the front of the kennel Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention, rubs on hand Try picking cat up: SweetPea remains calm while being handled Placement Determination: Beginner
