A: DDx bloody stool: intestinal parasites, IBD, panleukopenia, open
P: Put on tech check for Parvo Test; start on Panacur and Metronidazole; recheck 3 days

VC – PLEASE MONITOR FOR URI – ON LOGS SHEET FOR SNEEZING AND NASAL DISCHARGE BUT NO SIGNS ON ROUNDS
S/O: Cat is BAR, no obvious ocular or nasal discharge, no sneezing noted on rounds

Notes: Stary Night was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Stary Night is displaying behavior appropriate for a new cat owner.
Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, calm, relaxed
When spoken quietly: does not come to front but looks at you, calm, relaxed
Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed
Reaction to touch: allows petting and attention
Try picking cat up: Stary Night is tolerant of this type of handling.
