Handsome velvet-furred ebony lovebug SMOKEY, just 4 years old, was ORIGINALLY ADOPTED from the kill-happy ACC and now finds himself stuffed BACK there as a NEUTERED “STRAY”. Smokey earned a rare but perfect BEGINNER rating for the EAGER way he begged for love and affection and his GENTLE, TRUSTING RUBS. But this sweet boy will DIE at noon tomorrow, all because he has an easily treated case of ringworm, a common skin fungus. Please don’t let the ACC murder this adorable, affectionate sweetheart! Notes: Smokey was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Smokey is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, rubbing against the cage front When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention, rubs on hand Try picking cat up: Smokey is tolerant of this type of handling. Placement Determination: Beginner

Ears, eyes, nose clear Mouth – mild tarter, receding gums Yellow/beige diarrhea continuous during exam and treatment. PanLeuk negative.
