SKITTLES – A1036904
5-23-2015 Brooklyn
**GONE 05/23/15** Senior Gent With Multiple Wounds Needs Care and TLC, Not A Lethal Injection! SKITTLES is a handsome gent who was found as a stray, brought to the ACC, and what did the medical team notice during his intake exam? Multiple wounds that must have been causing Skittles some real pain, one of which still requires surgical intervention to really address. They patched him up minimally, and then proceeded with what they know best. Meaning, they gave him a behavioral evaluation despite how uncomfortable Skittles was, they didn’t find him a home, and they decided to kill him. How many more cats have to die these painful deaths before people put a stop to it? You can put a stop to the awful plans the shelter have for SKITTLES, by reserving him on the ACC website, or working with a rescue group to foster/adopt him, tonight.

Notes: Please note that skittles is being treated at the time of the behavior assessment. His condition may affect some of the behaviors shown during evaluation.Skittles was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a very limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to door cage opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: hisses, allows very little petting (5) Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick the cat up, fractious behavior Placement Determination: Experience no child
