SITTING BULL – A1050133
Safe 9-9-2015 Manhattan Rescue: Anjellicle Cats Rescue Please honor your pledges: http://bit.ly/SittingBullA1050133
***SAFE 09/09/15*** SITTING BULL is a SITTING DUCK at the ACC, but she deserves a happily-ever-after just like all the other faces in the PODR safe albums. Brought in as a stray and a bit on the cushy side, SITTING BULL has thoughtful green eyes and a gentle posture that are oh-so-captivating. This is someone’s lost pet who needs a second chance with a loving owner or family, NOT a lethal injection! Adopt her directly or FOSTER her through a New Hope rescue, but either way, a foster/adopter is the ONLY thing that will save Sitting Bull, tonight!

09/02/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/02/15 19:05 Behavior during intake: The police brought this cat in a large dog create. The cat allowed an ACO to transfer it into a normal sized cat carrier with no issue. I later tilted the new carrier to get the cat out. The cat had limited interest in coming out for food. Once the cat came out, it stayed low to the ground. The cat did allow me to collar it and take its photo with no issue. Once I was done taking the photo, the cat went right back into the carrier and ate the food I had put in the back.

09/06/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Note: Sitting Bull came in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She was nervous upon intake, but allowed handling without any issues. She was also easy to handle during her initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Sitting Bull was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Sitting Bull blinks slowly. Reaction to cage door opening: Sitting Bull remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Sitting Bull sniffs the assessor’s hand and allows brief touch, but hisses and backs away slightly. She continues to allow petting without striking, but continues to hiss and starts to growl. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Sitting Bull tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
