SICILY – A1047913
Gone 9-2-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 09/02/15*** PIZZA AND SICILY are two young cats that came in together as ‘strays’ from the East New York section of Brooklyn, where they were, one supposes, boxed up and carted away like trash-because sadly in many neighborhoods like this that is the value of any living creature that can’t earn it’s ‘owner’ or ‘caretaker’ money. These cats are both young-one is just barely out of kittenhood, the other is only just 11 months old. ACC has no qualms about ‘putting them to sleep’ either. How can you stop that-simple-by offering these friendly and confused young cats a bed and breakfast as a foster ‘pawrent’. Fostering saves lives-it’ gives rescues a chance to save the lives of cats, and it gives the cats a place to stay with people who love them. Lots of people say ‘I hope someone will help’. Sadly, unless you are the ‘someone’ often the cats are killed. Can you make the biggest difference by saying ‘yes, I will help by fostering!’ and contacting a rescue? These are sweet cats who really want to live-will you help them? Be the “Somebody.”

08/25/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Sicily was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying shy behavior, did not stay at the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Sicily is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed and friendly When spoken quietly: comes to the front of cage, sniffs hand Reaction to door cage opening: retreats but seems curious Reaction to touch: allows all petting and attention Try picking cat up: Sicily allows all handling Placement Determination: Average
