SEBASTIAN – A1060865
Urgent 12-23-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 12/23/15*** Just days before Christmas and this little cat FAMILY of SEBASTIAN and 6 litter mates were surrendered because their owner has died! It’s the saddest, double-edged sword, in that because of the circumstances that landed 4 year old SEBASTIAN at the ACC, he may also lose his LIFE! No justice in this…but YOU CAN CHANGE THIS! If you have no children and are experienced, offer to FOSTER or ADOPT him! SEBASTIAN needs a miracle. How about YOU be THAT MIRACLE???
My name is SEBASTIAN. My Animal ID # is A1060865. – P

12/21/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Sebastian’s owner passed away, so his behavior in his previous home is unknown. He was calm and had a loose body upon intake; allowing all handling. He was displaying friendly behaviors during his initial medical exam, also allowing all handling. However, he displayed fearful behavior during the behavior evaluation. Reaction to assessor: Sebastian was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Sebastian looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Sebastian becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Sebastian was hesitant of touch, shifting away from the assessor’s hand slightly. He allows petting on his head and back, but lip licks throughout the interaction. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Sebastian tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
