***SAFE 08/31/15*** TWO KITTENS ROSE QUARTZ AND PERIDOT ARE PERFECTLY HEALTHY YET THEY WILL DIE AT NOON BECAUSE THEY ARE AFRAID! ROSE QUARTZ and PERIDOT came into the shelter as stray kittens along with 2 other adult cats. The ACC has them at 4 months old and 14 weeks but looking at them, they may actually be siblings. They are both healthy and only need someone with patience to coax them into relaxing and adapting to a furever home. They both allowed some petting and handling but were tense so they were given an EXPNOCHILD rating for their fear. Kittens are very adaptable and once you bring these cutie pies home, and give them some food, love and maybe some catnip toys to play with, you will have a double dose of kitten fun and antics. DON’T LET THE ACC END THE LIVES OF THESE TWO. OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT BOTH OF THEM NOW AND GIVE THEM A HAPPY ENDING TO THEIR STORY.

08/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Rose Quartz was resting in his cage upon approach. He does not wake when softly spoken to; he is too sleepy. Reaction to cage door opening: Rose Quartz lifts his head up, blinks, and lip licks. Reaction to touch: Rose Quartz retreats from the assessor’s hand and tries to avoid touch. He allows petting on his head and body, but twitches. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Rose Quartz tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
