ROCKY ROAD – A1046142
8-5-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 08/05/15*** PERFECTLY HEALTHY 16-POUND SPAYED TUXIE “STRAY” CHARMER HAS A GREAT BEHAVIOR RATING, BUT THE ACC WILL KILL HER ANYWAY – PLEASE GRANT ROCKY ROAD A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Gorgeous tuxie girl ROCKY ROAD, just 5 years old, entered the kill-happy ACC as a 16-pound SPAYED “STRAY”, but it’s obvious that she’s a lost or abandoned pet kitty! Rocky Road came into the shelter with horrible MATTING on her back, which were shaved off, as you can see from her photo. This charming lovebug earned a very good EXPNOCHILD behavior rating, but the heartless ACC will MURDER her at noon tomorrow, despite the fact that Rocky Road is PERFECTLY HEALTHY! The ACC claims that they NEVER kill healthy cats, but poor Rocky Road is PROOF that they DO INDEED kill them on a DAILY BASIS. Please save this pretty tuxie princess! Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt ROCKY ROAD! If you can’t save ROCKY ROAD yourself, please SHARE her sad story and PLEDGE for her rescue!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Rocky looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Rocky remains crouched down on her cage bedding, immobile in place. Reaction to touch: Rocky accepts the stroke, but along the body she hissed once then stiffens in place showing no interest. Placement determination: Experience/ no child Rocky Road tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
