08/26/15 20:32 Queenie is a white and black male cat who was surrendered at ACC today. Queenie is 5 yrs. old and neutered. He apears healthy and will undergo a full physical health exam. He is described as being playful and affectionate. Queenie has been socialized with children and is described as being relaxed affectionate tolerant and respectful around chldren. He will interact with them in a gentle friendly well behaved manner. He has not been socialized with cats or dogs at this time. He is an indoor cat who has been litter trained. He has ahigh activity level and is nervous meowing often when he is traveling in a car. He is described as being playful confident shy mellow friendly assertive affectionate quiet and independent. Queenie is not bothered when he is being given a bath beng picked up and held paced inside of a carrier or disturbed from his sleep. He has never had his nails trimmed. He uses clay litter inside of an open litter box. He likes to pay with balls string stuffed toys and will engage in chasing games. He also uses a vertical scratching post made out of carpet. He eats dry and wet food twice a day. He also has snacks as a reward for training. Queenie will follow his owner around the house and stay in the same room with them. He likes to stay in the living room or his carrier which is where he sleeps as well. During the Intake process Queenie was nevous shifting and moving often. He would not allow himself to be collared at first struggling and retreating into his carrier. He did allow himself to be collared but remained nervous and would not sit still for a photgraph to be taken of him.

Notes: Quest Bars at the time of the assessment was displaying conflicted behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, rubs on cage door but does not allow assessor to interact with him. Based on Quest Bar’s owner profile we believe once he settles down in a home outside of the shelter environment he will relax and his may improve . Quest Bars is displaying behavior appropriate for an experienced cat owner.
