I am a spayed female tortie and black domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 8 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 11/15/2015 from NY 10301, owner surrender reason stated was PERS PROB.

11/15/15 14:47 Basic Information: Princess is a 8yr old female domestic short haired cat that has no past or current medical issues that the owner was aware of. Basic Information: The owner has never socialized Princess with children, dogs, or another cat due to never having either around for her to interact with. Princess is an indoor only cat that is litter box trained. Princess is described to be friendly, quiet, and mellow with a medium activity level. Behavior Issues: Princess has never bitten a person or another animal according to the owner. The owner has never tried to bath or trim Princess nails and isn’t sure how she would respond to those grooming agents. However she does like beingheld and having her coat brushed. When it comes to being put in a cat carrier for transport Princess appears to be afraid and will struggle. For a New Family to Know: Princess was brought up using regular clay litter and a standard litter box. She was given toys but shows little to no interest in them. Princess did have a scratching post and used it pretty often according to the owner. When in the home Princess is the type to rarely seek attention or be in the same room. When engaging in play with humans Princess plays in a gentle manner. When in the car for transport Princess appears to be afraid and will meow/cry. Princess was brought up eating both wet/dry food and there was no specific brand that the owner gave.

Princess came to the shelter surrendered by an owner who described her as mellow, affectionate and friendly. Reaction to assessor: Princess is sitting in her cubby relaxing. Reaction when softly spoken to: Princess looks up at the assessor and remains soft. Reaction to cage door opening: Princess takes a few steps toward the assessor. Reaction to touch: Princess allows petting all over her body. Reaction to pick up: Princess is tense when being picked up, but is calm while held. Placement Determination: Average Princess does not get up and approach the assessor at first, but allows all petting and handling. Princess is exhibiting behavior suited to average cat parents.
