8-30-2015 Manhattan Rescue: Feline Rescue of SI Please honor your pledges: http://felinerescueofstatenisland.org/donation/
**SAFE 08/30/15** PEARL JAM is a 5-month-old kitten who came into the shelter with his bestie, CHILI PEPPER, when their former owner passed away. This guy has great markings, with those Groucho Marx eyebrows and that overall face which says “I’m quite a character!” PEARL JAM is waiting for someone to take him home, give him some TLC, and let him blossom into the devoted pet he was meant to be. Please share PEARL JAM far and wide for a foster or adoptive home, tonight!

08/27/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Pearl Jam looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Pearl Jam is resting on his cage bedding. Reaction to touch: Pearl Jam accepts the stroke, but began to lip lick in place and slowly retreat away from the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Pearl Jam tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
