PARKER – A1040599
***GONE 06/23/15*** PARKER IS A GORGEOUS SIAMESE WHO MUST BE SOMEONE’S LOST PET AS HE WAS BROUGHT IN AS A STRAY – PARKER NOT A HAPPY CAMPER SO WAS SLAPPED WITH A NEW HOPE RATING AND WHISKED AWAY TO TONIGHT’S LIST!! PARKER is a very handsome neutered boy who the ACC is saying that he “acts feral”. Well I guess this cat went and got himself neutered all by himself and I seriously wonder what Siamese cat colony he came from. It is amazing what these ACC staff people write in the bios. PARKER is most likely a very lost or abandoned pet who is TERRIFIED at being in the shelter. People have to realize that the best of pets that are friendly when they become afraid and traumatized, will act out in ways that will seem like they are not friendly. But once they are in a loving safe environment, theses same cats will revert back to their old purrsonalities and all is well. PARKER is no different. Siamese cats are very sensitive so the shelter environment is probably even twice as scary as with most cats. GIVE THIS HANDSOME NEUTERED BOY A CHANCE TO HAVE A HAPPY HOME AND YOU WILL BE SURPRISED. CONTACT A RESCUE TO PULL PARKER TO SAFETY NOW!
My name is PARKER. My Animal ID # is A1040599.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Parker does not come to the front, but remains neutral inside his cage. When softly spoken to, he looks at the assessor with dilated eyes and focuses on the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Parker remains stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Parker remains extremely stiff and his ears bend flat as the hand moves closer to him. He slowly tries to move away from the hand and starts to growl. He swats, hisses, and tries to bite when touched. Behavior Determination: NH ONLY Parker is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to swat, bite, and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
