Behavior upon intake:
Murcka was very tense during intake. Her pupils were dialated and she attempted to flee when carrier door was left upon. Murcka had to be scanned by her prior owner (result negative). She could not be collared by an admissions counselor.

Facts about Murcka:
She’s 8 years old and spayed.
She was found as a stray 8 years ago.
She was declawed by her owner’s request because she used to claw on furniture.
As a result of being declawed, she started biting people (not within last 10 days).
She eats both wet and dry food Friskies brand.
She uses a litterbox that is uncovered, and filled with clumping litter.
Client says she hides when there are visitors in the home.
Behavior: average home
Owner Profile: Murcka was bought to the shelter by her previous owner due to personal problems. Murcka would hide from vistors at her previous home. Her previous owner stated she sometimes bites due to her being declawed. Murcka is litter box trained.
Notes: At the time of the assessment she was displaying a mellow behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Murcka is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
