MUFFIN – A1046345
***GONE 08/06/15**** DO YOU KNOW THE MUFFIN MAN-Cat, that is? He’s every so sweet and this is a cat that has lived with a dog! MUFFIN lived with little kids, too, and is himself just for years old. MUFFIN was brought into ACC because his owner decided to move somewhere pets weren’t allowed! Oh that the law would change and people could bring their pets everywhere! But, MUFFIN tonight faces having his life end over being turned into ACC as just something to be surrendered or given away, like furniture. Now, MUFFIN, who’s friendly, sweet, and gentle needs you. This is the ‘slow’ season in terms of adopting-and MUFFIN-and other cats-all need you. MUFFIN could do with losing a little weight, and in the right environment that will come. But for now, MUFFIN needs you to save him-can you foster this boy? Can you offer him bed and breakfast and a chance to live? Come on-you know you want to! SAVE MUFFIN TONIGHT!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Muffin’s former owner stated around strangers he is shy for a few minutes; he needs to sniff you first. Muffin lived with 3 children ages 3yrs, 6yrs & 12yrs. He’s relaxed, affectionate (at times) and plays gently sometimes exuberantly with them also with adults and the 5yr old male Pitbull. Also, described as friendly, affectionate (when he comes to you for petting which he loves) & shy at first. Reaction to assessor: Muffin looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Muffin remains crouched down on his cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Muffin accepts the stroke, but flinches on the touch, eyes began to wander, and hisses just once at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Muffin tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
