Reaction to assessor: Misoo was resting inside his cage. When softly spoken to, he chirps and looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes.
Reaction to cage door opening: Misoo remains soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Misoo remains in place for petting, begins to purr, and rubs his cheeks on his bedding.
Reaction to toy or novel object: Misoo sniffs the object.
Reaction to being picked up: Misoo allows handling but prefers to be inside his cage.
Behavior Determination: Experience
Misoo interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Although his behavior earns him an average rating, due to his reaction to handling during his medical exam and his willingness to strike out to avoid handling in certain situations, we recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
Reaction to assessor: Misoo looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor.
Reaction to door opening: Misoo remains lying down in a relaxed position, alert with soft eyes.
Reaction to touch: Misoo accepts the stroke, purrs in place, and appreciates petting on the head and body. Towards the end of the assessment he reaches out for attention and gentle places his mouth over the assessor’s hand without applying pressure then licks the hand.
Placement determination: Experience
Misoo solicits attention and tolerates petting but may be assertively demanding of attention.
We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
