MINO – A1051094
Urgent 9-15-2015 Brooklyn
**GONE 09/15/15** MINO and PAPAS are two orange kittens from the 11433 zip code who are wishing they were anywhere other than the ACC, tonight. Supposedly there are reports of cats dying mysterious deaths in their former neighborhood and the ACC notes refer to both kittens having a “sickness” without saying what that “sickness” is. In typical confused ACC fashion, the genders and names are haphazardly tossed around both kittens as well, which just goes to show that the shelter system is a BROKEN MESS. Please do NOT let these perfectly good babies go down at the hands of the ACC! Both kittens are available to be reserved online until NOON tomorrow, which is when that option goes away forever and the killing begins! Or, someone who would rather work through a New Hope rescue can message our help desk at [email protected] No matter what, these two need to be saved by a foster/adopter, so please share MINO and PAPAS everywhere, tonight!
My name is MINO. My Animal ID # is A1051094. – P

09/14/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Mino was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was very fearful and nervous upon intake, but slowly warmed up to the admission counselor. He allowed all handling upon intake and during his initial medical exam although he was very timid. Reaction to Assessor: Mino was calm, relaxed, and friendly by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Mino sniffs around. Reaction to cage door opening: Mino slowly retreats to the back of the cage. Reaction to touch: Mino pats the assessor’s hand playfully, and focuses on it. He was very hesitant of touch, but allows all petting and may try to move away. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Mino tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
