08/25/15 14:53 Basic Information: Minnie is a 7 year old spayed domestic shirt hair. The owner received her from her previous owner about 3 years ago and has to surrender Minnie because he currently does not have a home. Minnie has not been to the vet but has no known health problems or injuries. The owner states that his favorite things about Minnie are affectionate she is and how she cuddles. Social Life and Personality: Minnie has lived with 1 adult and a 10 year old child. She is relaxed, affectionate, tolerant, and gentle during play with the child. She has not been around other cats to know her behavior around them. She has been around a small dog but she hisses at the dog when he comes near her. She is litter box trained and does not have accidents outside the box. She has been kept indoors and has a low energy level. Her owner describes her has playful, confident, mellow, friendly. Talkative, affectionate, and independent. Behavior: Minnie has not been given a bath nor have her nails trimmed to know how she will react to them. She enjoys being brushed, picked up, and held. She is not bothered when placed in the carrier or woken up from sleep. For a New Family to Know: Minnie is used to Fresh Step cat litter inside an uncovered litter box. She likes to play with wand toys, string, and stuffed toys. She scratches on furniture and the couch. When her family is home, she likes to follow them around. She is gentle during play. She meows during car rides. She is fed wet and dry cat food. She likes to sleep in bed. Intake Behavior: Minnie walked out of the carrier onto the counter. She did not show any aggressive behavior. She allowed to be handled for photos, collaring, and scanning, she did not show any aggressive behaviors.

Owner Profile: Minnie was bought into the care center by her previous owner due to not having a place to live. Minnie has lived with an adult and a child. She is relaxed, affectionate, tolerant, and gentle during play with the child. She has not been around other cats to know her behavior around them. She has been around a small dog but she hisses at the dog when he comes near her. She is litter box trained and does not have accidents outside the box. She has been kept indoors and has a low energy level. Her previous owner described her has playful, confident, mellow, friendly. Talkative, affectionate, and independent. Notes: Minnie at the time of the assessment was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: ignores me completely Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless Reaction to touch: allows petting and attention but does not seek it Try picking cat up: Minnie body was tense while being held Placement Determination: Experience
