10/27/15 15:22 Basic Information: Mimi is a 7 year old altered brown mackerel tabby with short fur. She was given to the owner about 5 years ago and is being surrender because the owner is moving to a home that does not allow pets. Mimi has not been to the vet on a regular basis but has no known health problems or injuries. Social Life and Personality; Mimi has lived with one adult and has not been solicited with children. She has lived with another cat and was relaxed, playful, and gentle during play with the other cat. She has not been introduced to dogs to know her behavior with them. She is litter box trained, kept indoors, and has a medium activity level. The owner described her as playful, friendly, assertive, aloof, talkative, and independent. Behavior: Mimi struggles when he is given baths, picked up, and held. Mimi is not bothered when brushed, put in a carrier, or disturbed when sleeping. For a New Family to Know: Mimi is used to crystal litter in an automatic litter box. She likes to play with balls, catnip, and household items. Mimi scratches on her curved post made out of carpet. She is gentle during play and meows on car rides. She is used to eating dry cat food. She likes to sleep on a chair with a pillow. Intake Behavior: Mimi sat in the carrier with a relax body and kneading a blanket. She allowed to be picked up and placed on the counter. She continued to kneed the counter. She allowed handling for scanning, collaring, and photos. She walked back in the carrier herself.

Reaction to assessor: Mimi does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Mimi comes to the front of cage and soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: Mimi remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Mimi solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: Mimi is tolerant of this type of handling Behavior Determination: Beginner At the time of the assessment Mimi was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Mimi is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
