***GONE 08/20/15*** SECOND CHANCE FOR MARVELOUS MALCOLM!!PERFECTLY HEALTHY EBONY KITTEN, DUMPED FOR HOSPITALIZATION OF OWNER, HAS A GREAT BEHAVIOR RATING, BUT THE ACC WILL KILL HIM ANYWAY – PLEASE GRANT MALCOLM A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Handsome velvet-furred ebony kitten MALCOLM, just one year old, was dumped into the kill-happy ACC after his OLD OWNER WAS HOSPITALIZED. Malcolm ALLOWED PETTING, scoring a very good EXPNOCHILD behavior rating, yet the heartless ACC will MURDER this charming kitten at noon tomorrow, despite the fact that he’s PERFECTLY HEALTHY! The ACC claims that they NEVER kill healthy cats & kittens, but poor Malcolm is PROOF that they DO INDEED kill them, on a daily basis. Please give this darling kitten a second chance at a loving forever home. Black cats and kittens are always the LAST to be saved and the FIRST to be KILLED, but let’s reverse those dreadul odds for Malcolm tonight. 08/12/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Malcolm was resting in his cage upon approach. He turns and looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Malcolm becomes alert, but remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Malcolm was hesitant of touch, but sniffs the assessor’s hand and remains in place for petting. His ears tilt sideways during the interaction and he seems focused on the assessor’s hand. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Malcolm tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
