***SAFE 06/17/15*** PERFECTLY HEALTHY HOUSE PANTHER LIGHTNING WILL BE KILLED ALL BECAUSE HE IS AFRAID!! LIGHTNING was dumped in the shelter for ALLERGIES. He lived with a family that has small children as young as 8 months old. He was said to play gently with them and if they got too rough he would quietly walk away. YET THE ACC HAS THIS CAT RATED EXPNOCHILD!!!! This is a perfect example of how the behavior ratings in this shelter are unfair and only show the cat’s FEAR IN THE SHELTER ONLY!!! LIGHTNING is 2 years old and already neutered. He likes to play with balls and aluminum foil. Sadly this boy is now on DEATH ROW for his behavior eval and nothing more. CAN YOU GET THIS SWEET YOUNG CAT OUT OF HERE AND INTO A SAFE HOME BY OFFERING TO FOSTER OR ADOPT? CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO SAVE LIGHTNING OR HE WILL BECOME AN ACC STATISTIC AT NOON WEDNESDAY.

06/13/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Owner Profile: Lightning was bought into the care center by his previous owner due to allergies. Lightening has lived with children and is very respectful and affectionate towards them. Lighting will play gently with the children and if they pull on his fur he will just walk away from them. Lighting has not lived any other animals so his behavior toward other animals remains unknown. Lighting is an indoor cat and is litter box trained. Lighting was described as playful affectionate, and independent with a medium activity level. Notes: Lightning at the time of the assessment was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices she relaxed a little and I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children. Reaction to assessor: sniffs hands from inside the kennel When spoken quietly: stays infront of cage Reaction to door cage opening: Retreats Reaction to touch: allows limited petting Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, fearful. Placement Determination: Experience no child
