***SAFE 08/13/15*** PERFECTLY HEALTHY KIWI WAS BETRAYED BY SOMEONE WHO WAS FEEDING HER FOR A FEW WEEKS – AND NOW HER FEAR WILL BE HER DEATH WARRANT!! Poor KIWI!! She wandered into a new neighborhood where someone saw her and began feeding her for 3 full weeks. KIWI may be someone’s lost or abandoned pet, so she saw food and stuck around. Then this person lured her into a carrier and whisked her off to the kill happy ACC where now KIWI is terrified and was punished with a NEW HOPE rating! KIWI is not a bad cat – she is disoriented, afraid, and wants to know what she did to deserve being trapped and caged. NOW the ACC will end her life – even though she is a gorgeous 1 year old kitten! KIWI NEEDS YOU TONIGHT TO SAVE HER LIFE. CAN YOU GIVE A KITTEN A FUREVER HOME WHERE SHE CAN FEEL SAFE AND SECURE? CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY!!!

08/05/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
08/05/15 13:39 Basic information Kiwi has been seen in the neighborhood for the past 3 weeks by the finder. She was able to get her in front of her building. She has been feeding her and giving her water. She says that she did not handle her, just lured her into a carrier with food. Behavior during intake Kiwi bolted out of her carrier and looked over the edge of the table. She allowed me to scan(-) and hold her still for a few seconds before she began growling and jumped to the floor. She walked around and sniffed things. She came up to me and ate wet food. I scanned her again and she growled quietly and walked away. I put her in her kennel with a net. She growled but did not resist in the net. Her tail vibrates when agitated. She ate in her kennel.

08/11/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Kiwi looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Kiwi remains hiding in her cat den, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Kiwi does not allow the stroke, growls, hisses, and swats (with claws out) at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Kiwi is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
