KATHY – A1046664
8-18-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 08/18/15 *** KATHY IS HOPING THAT SOMEONE WILL COME FOR HER…..Dumped after several years living with seniors, they claim she attacked people unprovoked but apparently did nothing to investigate why, like maybe a vet visit to start…..KATHY is not living up to her reputation at the ACC. She is just a fearful cat who needs an understanding purrson who will give her time and patience….ARE YOU THE PURRSON FOR KATHY?? She is only 6 years old and already SPAYED….KATHY JUST NEEDS A CHANCE…..IF YOU CAN’T ADOPT, PLEASE OFFER TO FOSTER….IT DOES SAVE CATS LIKE KATHY.

08/10/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Kathy was facing the back wall in her cage upon approach. Her ears bend slightly sideways when softly spoken to, but she does not turn around to face the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Kathy remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Kathy twitches and turns around to watch the assessor’s hand. She lip licks, but remains immobile as the assessor pets her lightly on her head and back. As per previous owner, Kathy has lived with seniors for a few years. She has not lived with any other animals in her home. The previous owner reports that Kathy hisses, scratches, and bites people unprovoked. Details about the previous incident, including trigger, warning signs, and severity are unknown. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Kathy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
