11/20/15 11:19 Cat, Jessie is a orange tabby/white DSH cat. He is social & enjoys eating wet & hard food. He was surrendered as a stray to ACC. Upon intake, he became fearful when counselor scanned(negative) & collared. After some time, he calmed down & enjoyed counselors company & attention.

11/23/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jessie was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. The finder has been feeding him in their yard and says he is friendly and social. He was fearful upon intake, but he calmed down and started to enjoy the staff’s company and attention after some time. He was easy to handle during his initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Jessie was calm and relaxed by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Jessie sniffs around, and then softly head-butts the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: Jessie remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Jessie was a bit hesitant at first, but he head-butts as soon as he is petted. He begins to purr and appreciates petting on his head and along his back. Reaction to pick up: Jessie remains calm and allows handling. Placement Determination: Average Jessie interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
