***SAFE 06/30/15*** JEFF’S OWNER MOVED AND JUST TOSSED HIM TO THE CURB LIKE HE WAS TRASH! NOW JEFF CAUGHT THE SHELTER COLD AND WILL DIE! JEFF is a 4 year old neutered boy who has lived with another cat and was good around children. He was said to be gentle and playful and loved cat toys and his scratch post. Yet this wasn’t enough for his owner to take him along on the move and JEFF now sits sick with a cold and on death row because the ACC cures colds with lethal injections. JEFF is EXPERIENCE rated and solicited attention, and was social on his behavior assessment. But we all know this guy is a regular mush and the shelter environment has stressed him out. PLEASE GRANT JEFF A VERY DESERVING DEATH ROW PARDON TONIGHT AND GET HIM SOME CLAVAMOX AND HE WILL BE AS GOOD AS NEW. CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO FOSTER OR ADOPT – JEFF WILL REWARD YOU WITH ENDLESS PURRS!!

06/19/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Hiding in den when I approach. (3) Reaction to being spoken to quietly: Pokes nose out of holes in den. (2) Reaction to cage door opening: Comes out of the den, soft and relaxed. (1) Reaction to touch: Solicits petting and attention. (1) Reaction to being picked up: Tolerant, but tense. Notes: Jeff came to the shelter surrendered by an owner who describes him as playful, affectionate and friendly. The owner also notes that he got along well with children as well as another cat. At the time of the assessment, Jeff is displaying friendly behavior. He interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, and allows handling. During Jeff’s initial medical exam, he became stressed and exhibited fractious behavior, and prior to his assessment was noted to be hissing from the inside of his den. Jeff is a friendly cat who appears to be uncomfortable with certain types of handling, especially in a new environment. For this reason, Jeff is exhibiting behavior suited to experienced cat parents who can allow him to slowly adjust to a new home.
