JANE AUSTEN – A1047845
8-21-2015 Manhattan Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
**SAFE 08/21/15** Leave it to the ACC to NOT have the correct medicine in-house, so what’s their response? Yep, their favorite “solution” is to “cure” a cat with a lethal injection. What gives? JANE AUSTEN is a fine young lady who was brought to the shelter with her 4 besties, when their former owner decided to move to a new place without them. Jane Austen earned a respectable EXPNOCHILD rating and is counting on someone to save her life by foster/adopting her, tonight!

08/20/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Jane looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Jane remains crouched down in her litter box, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Jane accepts the stroke, but eyes began to wander in place, body stiffens up and shows no interest on the touch. Placement determination: Experience / no child Jane Austin tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
