07/21/15 17:18 Jag is 3 year old male neutered Savannah mix cat who is being surrendered because the owner can no longer care for him. Jag has been with the family for almost 3 years. Jag lived with 2 adults and 3 children. Jag also lived with another cat who he was receptive to and affectionate with. Owner also reports they would engage in rough play. Jag was not receptive to the children in the house and would flee or growl when overwhelmed. Owner reports him to be independent but will seek petting and contact from her. Jag uses a litter box with clumping litter. Jag tolerates a bath and has his nail trimms by a groomer. Jag likes to be picked up owner and brushed. Jag does not mind riding in a carrier. Jag likes to play swat and chase with balls and enjoys pushing objects off tables. Jag has a scratching post made of carpet which he uses. He will also scratch on the wood floor. Jag eats both wet and dry food. Upon intake Jag was shy for introduction. Jag struggled against being removed from the carrier but was not defensive. Jag’s owner assisted with handling and was loose for that but did attempt to flee several times. Counselor was able to scan for microchip (negative) and photograph but did not collar. Jag was easily replaced to the carrier.
