08/13/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Jacklyn was inside a hidey box upon approach. She continues to hide and does not come out when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Jacklyn remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Jacklyn tries to avoid touch and attempts to flee. She becomes stiff and immobile when the assessor’s hand is placed against the door. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Jacklyn is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
