***SAFE 12/01/15*** THREE HOUSEMATES CASPER, POE AND ICHABOB ARE PERFECTLY HEALTHY BUT SINCE THEY ARE A BIT NERVOUS IN THE SHELTER, THE ACC WILL KILL THEM ALL AT NOON! Three more housemates out of a larger group of cats from a hoarding situation are on tonight’s list again! CASPER is about 2 years old, POE is 5 yrs old and ICHABOB is only a 1 year old kitten. All are healthy yet just fearful and nervous at being abandoned in the shelter. ALL received an EXPNOCHILD rating although the owner said they were in a home with children. These 3 friends need you to save them from death at noon Sunday. These 3 cats did nothing to deserve this and only YOU can change their lives forever. They were said to be friendly and affectionate cats and all allowed petting and handling although nervous. Yet they were punished with this EXPNOCHILD rating and we all know that once in a loving home, these kitties will thrive and go back to their old sweet selves. PLEASE HELP CASPER, POE AND ICHABOB HAVE A HAPPY ENDING TO A SAD STORY. CONTACT A RESCUE TO OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT ONE – OR ALL THREE – DON’T WAIT – THE CLOCK IS TICKING AWAY…….

11/25/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ichabob’s previous owner states that he is respectful around the other cats he lived with. When he plays with the owner and the other cats, he is exuberant. He was kept indoors and has a medium activity level. Reaction to Assessor: Ichabob was feint sleeping upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ichabob blinks slowly. Reaction to cage door opening: Ichabob remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Ichabob was very hesitant of touch and shifts his body weight away from the assessor’s hand. He lip licks and watches the assessor’s hand when pet, but will slowly move away to avoid contact. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Ichabob tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
