HYLLS – A1050602
Safe 9-12-2015 Manhattan
***SAFE 09/12/15*** HYLLS NEEDS A RESCUE ANGEL TONIGHT – THIS POOR SCARED BOY IS PERFECTLY HEALTHY AND WILL BE KILLED AT NOON WITHOUT RESCUE! Not much is known about HYLLS except someone caught him and dumped him in the kill shelter as a stray. This handsome boy was very hungry when he was brought in and this tells us he may be a lost or abandoned pet. HYLLS got a New Hope rating because he flynched and tried to get away when the assessor came to call. He did not seem to be aggressive, only afraid. HYLLS doesn’t know why is he there and needs a kind hearted purrson to get him out and into a home where he can feel safe. HYLLS will need time to unwind but it will be worth it all to see this nice cat happy and purring!! CONTACT A NEW HOPE RESCUE TO GIVE HYLLS THE CHANCE TO LIVE AND HAVE A HAPPY ENDING TO HIS STORY.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Hylls does not come to the front, but remains neutral. Reaction when softly spoken to: Hylls focuses on the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Hylls becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Hylls tries to avoid touch and slowly moves away from the assessor’s hand. He flinches with the slightest movement and tries to flee from the cage when petting was attempted. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Hylls is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling.
