Reaction to assessor: Herbet does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Herbet does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Herbet becomes alert and hisses at the assessor Reaction to touch: Herbet strikes and does not allows petting at all Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick up Herbet due to fractious behavior Behavior Determination: NewHope Herbet seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He may require further investigation before placement in a home. He currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
