***GONE 05/20/15*** HARRIET WAS ABANDONED IN THE SHELTER LOBBY AS A HEALTHY CAT BUT NOW WILL DIE FOR THE COMMON COLD! HARRIET was brought in and left in the lobby with no information as to her background. She seems to be about 5 years old and is afraid in the shelter. At her assessment Harriet meowed and rolled around in her box upon approach. When softly spoken to, she continued to meow and rub all over the box. For this they granted her an EXPNOCHILD rating. HARRIET MAY BE A LOST PET BUT WE WILL NEVER KNOW – BUT WHAT WE DO KNOW IS THAT IF SHE ISN’T RESCUED BY NOON WEDNESDAY THE EUTH TECH WILL END HER LIFE. CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER SAFETY!!

05/10/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Harriet meows and rolls around in her box upon approach. When softly spoken to, she continues to meow and rubs all over the box. Reaction to cage door opening: Harriet becomes alert and cautious. Reaction to touch: Harriet was hesitant of touch, but allows touch and head-butts the assessor’s hand. She doesn’t mind being pet on her head, but she focuses on the assessor’s hand when being pet on her back and nips when touched on her lower back. She remains calm afterwards, and continues to head-butt. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Harriet solicits attention and tolerates petting but may be assertively demanding of attention. Due to her tendency to nip when touched on her lower back and her willingness to strike out during handling for her initial medical exam, we feel that this cat will do best in a home without children.
