FLUTE’S ASSESSMENT SAYS OF HIM: Reaction to assessor: Flute was calm and relaxed upon approach. When softly spoken to, he looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Flute remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Flute remains in place for petting, begins to purr, and puts his head down to relax. Reaction to toy or novel object: Flute shows no interest in playing. Reaction to being picked up: Flute remains calm and allows handling. As per previous owner, Flute has lived with adults, teenagers, and children for his whole life. ‘ FLUTE was ‘surrendered’ because the previous ‘owner’ and her son were moving and simply couldn’t find a way to take SWEET SENIOR FLUTE who is listed as 14 years of age-what is wrong with people? Now, lest you think adopting a ‘SENIOR’ will be problematic, this writer can tell you of her seniors adopted at just FLUTES age who lived to be 18 and 22. There is something sweet about Seniors who know exactly that they are in danger-and are often the most wonderful cats ever when rescued! Please save FLUTE tonight! Don’t let him die! Prove to him there are ‘forever’ good folks in the world! SAVE this sweet boy tonight!!!!

Moving RELATIONSHIP He’s old – I’ve owned for whole life – about 14 years old. PEOPLE Lives with _ adults Lives with _ teenagers Lives with _ children OTHER ANIMALS none PERSONALITY Receptive to petting. Allows owner and her son to pick him up and pet him. But because he is older he is like “Garfield” eating and sleeping. He wanders out into the hall sometimes but doesn’t go far. Doesn’t use a scratching post but does like to scratch the walls. Will curl up on the couch but stays off the bed. HABITS Eats both Goes outside the litter box sometimes righ outside the box or behind the toilet. A calmer environment would be best though when company with younger kids come over he allowsthem to pet him but will sometimes hide until they leave.

He allows children to pet him, but may hide until they leave if he feels uncomfortable. They say he’s receptive to petting, but because he is older now, he mostly eats and sleeps. They suggest a calm environment for his new home. Behavior Determination: Average Flute interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. There is no known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
